Dhaka designated Golam Moshi as its new ambassador to the Kingdom, its embassy in Riyadh announced here on Sunday.
Moshi is expected to take the Riyadh assignment in three weeks, said Mohamed Ayoob, charge d’ Affaires of the Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh.
The outgoing Ambassador Mohammed Shahidul Islam, designated new top envoy to Malaysia, is leaving the Kingdom on Monday.
Moshi has a degree in law from Dhaka University. He has served his country as secretary of International and Diplomatic Affairs and has extensive experience in the field of oil and gas exploration.
During his long association with the oil and gas industry as well as the telecom sector, Moshi worked as adviser to the British Petroleum, UK; British Gas, UK; TOTAL Oil, France; Hong Kong Telecom; General Atomic, USA and Asia Satellite Co. Ltd, HK.
