DUBAI: Emirati singer Ahlam has critisized the teacher who was secretly filmed hitting one of his students in a video that went viral recently, Albawaba reported.

The video shows the teacher slapping a student at the back of the head and then on the cheek, while the student tries to stop him using his hands.

A furious Ahlam started a campaign against the cruel teacher on Twitter. She tweeted segments from the video to her 5.2 million followers, which was received with great support and disapproval for the teacher’s behavior.
