It’s raining sequels in Bollywood though it is said that in the Hindi film industry, sequels seldom work. But recent blockbuster ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ has broken this jinx and has turned out to be a money spinner at the box-office.

Is it always possible to recreate the magic of the original ? We doubt, there are many sequels that proved to be a bad decision for the filmmakers, but Pooja Bhatt is confident about the sequel of her hit film ‘Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi’. If things fall in place then Ranbir and Alia will slip into the shoes of Aamir Khan and Pooja Bhatt’s mega hit flick. Also, Pooja has, in the past, spoken about remaking the film and she has also expressed her desire to see Alia Bhatt and Ranbir in the lead roles.

Sometimes, Bollywood franchises are successful propositions at the box office. Producer Firoz A Nadiadwallah’s ‘Welcome Back’ promises double the extravagance and laughter than their first outing ‘Welcome’. The film is to receive its world premiere on Sept. 2 in Dubai at Dubai’s Music Hall, which will be attended by the entire cast and crew.

As per the grapevine, Salman Khan is also obsessed with sequels. After playing Chulbul Pandey in ‘Dabangg’ series, he will be playing a double role in the sequel to ‘Kick’.

On the other side, Ajay Devgn is planning to make a sequel to his 2012 Diwali blockbuster, ‘Son Of Sardaar’. According to a report, the film, titled ‘Sons Of Sardaar’, will not be a comedy like the earlier part. The report claims that the sequel will be based on the story of the Sikhs of Saragarhi.
