One of Saudi Arabia’s best known gift wrapping companies, Papermoon, launched a charitable initiative titled “Time to Give” at its newest branch in Jeddah’s Prince Sultan Street, in collaboration with the Young Initiative Group (YIG).

The idea of the event was for customers to bring in gifts to be given to orphans and the best part was that all the attendants were able to add their personal touch to the gifts by wrapping them individually.

The event was the first of its kind for the company, but with the help of the YIG, they were able to gather over 70 gifts all to be sent to orphans, beautifully wrapped and most with personal messages of hope and positive words to uplift their spirits. Many well-known personalities attended the event such as Design Magazine’s Kholoud Attar, Fyunka’s Alaa Balkhy and PR Specialist Osama Sarhan.

Well on its way into its 24th birthday this coming June, the charity event was organized by the company’s founder, Nehal Al-Omary, who is very pleased with the results.

“I started this company because I love to bring joy to people, and what better way to give a beautifully wrapped gift to a loved one. This event isn’t far from my concept; we forget that there are those in need for such a gift and this event did just that. To gather people for such a cause is exactly what Papermoon is all about. ‘We wrap your feelings’ is our moto and we did just that.”

Faisal Sheraiff, Papermoon’s business developer, explained that this event is not going to be the last, the company has many branches throughout the Kingdom, in addition to a branch in Bahrain. The concept of the charity will expand to its other branches as well. YIG is a well-known organization that works all year-round to provide help to those in need in the city of Jeddah since over three years now. Collaborating with Papermoon in this project, they have helped in bringing joy to those less fortunate in the city.

Many of the attendees enjoyed wrapping their own gifts, and adding their style to it from the store’s vast range of materials and wraps.
