LAHORE: Pakistani freelance photographer Atif Saeed captured an incredible image of a lion at a wildlife park near Lahore.

The image showing the majestic king of the jungle charging toward the lensman has gone viral on the Net. Saeed slowly creeping out of his vehicle, putting his life at risk. The 38-year-old told media he sat on the ground and snapped a couple of photos, but was forced to retreat “within seconds” when the lion noticed him and leapt in his direction.

“I thought I must show the character and status of a lion and this was the only way I could think of to achieve the goal. “The story finished in few seconds as the lion aggressively jumped toward me and I scrambled into my car.

“I was laughing at that time, but now when I think back about the incident I don’t believe I can do it again,” he added.
