CANNES: Actress Sonam Kapoor glided down the Cannes red carpet in a sorbet-colored feathered Elie Saab dress as tweet-worthy as the elaborate yellow dress Rihanna wore to the Met Gala. The Internet reduced it to memes almost instantly.
The usually style-conscious actor’s ensemble looked more like a feathered duster and less like a gown.
The neckline and hem of the pale yellow outfit had were covered with something that looked like a cross between fur and feathers, while the rest of the flowing dress was translucent lace right down to the floor-sweeping trail, which had its own attendants on the red carpet.
