MUMBAI: Salman Khan, who kept the audience on the edge of their seat right through the end in ‘Kick’, will be seen reprising his role in the sequel too, which is being scripted as of now. The 2014 action film ‘Kick’ that featured Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez was a blockbuster. And now the makers of the film are gearing up for next installment.

“We are still writing. It’s in scripting stage. It will mostly happen next year. There is a pressure, but we are working hard on the script,” the producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala said.

Yes, ‘Kick 2’ has been on the anvil for a year now, but the female lead for the film has not been finalized yet. Recently, Salman had stressed that the sequel required a fresh pairing, knocking Jacqueline out of the scene.

Salman hinted that he is keen to work with Kriti Sanon. It was also said that the superstar had plans to rope in the beauty for his upcoming flick ‘Sultan’ but the movie fell into Anushka Sharma’s lap.

The casting conjectures are getting intriguing by the day, but what has his fans’ attention is the double role he confirmed he’d be portraying. A close source to Salman has confirmed that “he will be playing a double role in ‘Kick 2’. What is not known is that one character is a positive one, while the other is an out-and-out villain.”

Reportedly Salman’s next project, the remake of the Punjabi box-office smash ‘Jatt and Juliet’ will have him launching his friend’s son Zaheer as the lead. Now, there are speculations that Mr.Khan is considering roping in Sanon as his Juliet in the film.

Will Kriti give her nod to this movie? Only time will tell. Meanwhile, the actress must be on cloud nine as she seems to be Salman’s favorite these days.
