It’s all in the family, folks.

When it comes to promoting new, upcoming talent from the film fraternity, Bollywood sure, goes out of its way. As seen in the past, Bollywood’s own ‘filmi family club’ is very supportive of the new kids on the block, namely with star surnames.

Ruling the roost is superstar Salman Khan, who is famous for laying out a platform to kids from prominent film families in the past too. If you’d remember, he helped friend Anil Kapoor’s daughter Sonam Kapoor by doing a cameo in her debut film — Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya’. Plus, he led the way in launching Sonakshi Sinha in ‘Dabangg’, and was instrumental in Arjun Kapoor knocking off the extra kilos — to don the actor’s paint.

Today too, Salman Khan, is emerging as the godfather to newbies.

Now, he will be promoting his close friend Suniel Shetty’s son, Ahaan Shetty. And, he is all set to launch both Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya and Aditya Pancholi’s son Sooraj in his production — ‘Hero’, which is slated to be a Valentine’s Day 2015 release.

He is also helping former co-star Bhagyashree’s son Abhimanyu to get a foot into Bollywood. In the near future, he also plans to launch his bodyguard Shera’s son, Tiger, in one of his films.

Yes, blame it on Tiger Shroff. His successful debut in talented producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Heropanti’ has brought the focus back on other superstar bachas, who are waiting in the wings. 

On the lookout for suitable launch pads for Danny Denzongpa’s son Rinzing and Ranjeet’s son Chiranjeev is Sajid Nadiadwala, according to the grapevine.

Govinda’s daughter Narmmadaa is all tuned for her big debut, as she has reportedly returned from the London Film Institute. According to the rumor mills, she will be launched opposite Punjabi superstar Gippy Grewal in filmmaker Smeep Kang’s forthcoming Hindi film. 

News that’s floating in the media is that the sons of Sunny Deol, Vinod Khanna and Anil Kapoor among others, are soon to be making their debuts on the silver screen.

Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan, who will be launched by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra in his musical love tale, ‘Mirza Sahibaan’, is being trained for the role of a fierce, intense lover. It seems young Harsh is totally independent and has taken full charge of his life, though Rakeysh and Anil are in touch on his progress. The film, which will roll out in September 2014, is slated to release at the end of 2015.

Vinod Khanna’s younger son, Sakshi Khanna will try his luck in Bollywood in early 2015. Sakshi has been in the waiting for almost four years, but the family seems to be in no hurry and remains tight-lipped. The youngster is busy with workshops. He will be introduced by Milan Luthria, who confirms, “He is completing his training and the film will roll early 2015.”

In an interview, Sunny Deol has also confirmed, “My sons, Karan and Rajveer, both want to be actors. I mean, they’re sure about it, and I am amazed at the determination they’re showing toward this career. I have spoken to directors, Anil Sharma also, I am waiting for something to materialize. I am just hoping someone comes up with a nice story.”

And, for launching Sunny Deol’s son Karan, the names of film-makers Rajkumar Santoshi and Imtiaz Ali are being tossed around. But this youngster is often spotted in his track pants and tees at Sunny Super Sound, assisting his father on ‘Ghayal 2’.

The filmi bacha party steps in now. With parents as established stars, now ‘Generation Next’ is for sure, making inroads into Bollywood.
