LOS ANGELES: “Straight Outta Compton” reigned supreme at the North American box office for a third straight week, with another $13.1 million in ticket sales, industry figures showed Monday.

The biopic about pioneering rap group N.W.A. — the surprise hit of the summer — has so far raked in $134 million, according to box office tracker Exhibitor Relations.

Debuting in second place was Christian faith-based drama “War Room,” about a couple’s faltering marriage, which took in $11.4 million.

Knocked down to the number three spot was “Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation,” the fifth installment of the heart-pounding Tom Cruise action franchise. The film brought in $8.2 million, bringing its total haul to $170.2 million.

Coming in fourth was “No Escape,” an expat adventure film starring Owen Wilson as a father trying to save his family in the middle of a foreign country’s political uprising. The film brought in $8.1 million on its opening weekend.
