Home Centre, the largest home retailer in the Middle East, celebrated its 20th anniversary milestone with a gala event headlined by their brand ambassador, famous Arab singer Nancy Ajram. The event was attended by prominent media personalities, socialites and senior management from Landmark Group across the Middle East, who were all present to commemorate the occasion.

Arab News met with the superstar for an exclusive interview.

Can you tell us about the nature of the partnership between you and Home Centre this year?

This year, Home Centre celebrates twenty years since its foundation, and I am pleased to be in partnership with such a reputable brand that directly affects people’s lives and their homes.

The commercial advertisement that was recently filmed explains the nature of my partnership with Home Centre, focussing on the enjoyment associated with returning back home. Also, there are many activities scheduled for next year, so we expect this upcoming period to be fun and interesting for both of us.

Are there any new collections that Home Centre will be launching to celebrate this new partnership?

Home Centre recently launched its annual catalog, which includes the latest collection of furniture and household items. I personally chose several of my own favorites in this year’s version of the catalog.

Why did you choose to partner with Home Centre?

I’ve roamed the world during my career, and I have had to spend long hours outside of the house. However, I have always appreciated the feeling of returning to my home and my family after time away from them.

Since its inception, Home Centre has reflected this sense of warmth and has emphasized the gathering of family members in a house filled with feelings of love and contentment. And since I love my house and always happily return to it, Home Centre is certainly a brand I can enthusiastically collaborate with.

What is the expected duration of your partnership with Home Centre?

Our partnership is set to last for one year at this stage.

Have you thought about launching any new video clips linked to this new partnership with Home Centre?

My career is a very important thing to me, and so I tend to draw inspiration from every experience and partnership I encounter.

Will your fans in Dubai have the opportunity to meet you and interact with you?

Dubai has occupied a special place in my heart over the past few years, and I like to visit the city, wander in shopping malls and attend fashion events. I am confident that there will be many opportunities during the partnership between myself and Home Centre to meet with my dear fans and followers.


What is the store section that you like most when you shop at Home Centre?

I love the gift section in particular, because it always displays so many new products. I like seasonal gift products that are influenced by trends and seasonal fashions that give a special touch to homes. So I always trust this section to find what is new and useful for our house.

Is this your first partnership with a brand that specializes in furniture and household items industry?

Yes, my partnership with Home Centre is the first for me of this nature.

How do you take care of your house decor?

My house in Lebanon has contemporary and modern designs. Colors play a big role in some of the main rooms, while other rooms reflect traditional Arabic designs and decorations, such as the use of knitted carpets and groups of warm colors.

What is your favorite time of the day?

I like to spend my time accompanied by my husband and family; this constitutes the most important aspect of my life, no matter how busy I am. I always need to spend enough time with my family.

What is your favorite song?

“Ya Banat” occupies a very special place in my heart, as it reflects the joy I have when surrounded by my daughters. They are my permanent priority and I could not imagine my life without them.

How do you tend to go about producing a new album?

I’m always keen to produce new musical works. Music has been an important part of my life, and a dream come true. I personally check all the details of each album and try to make work as close to perfection as possible. I feel that my work should reflect my personality. Therefore, this process takes a lot of time.

How do you balance your personal life and career?

I do it through doing activities that bring me happiness and peace of mind, so I tend to participate in events for children and always have such a wonderful time with my family. I also workout and make sure to eat healthily. Everything else pales when you have such important priorities.

What is the nature of your partnership with ‘The Voice Kids” show?

“The Voice Kids” show is a new concept designed to encourage our children to show off their voices. Children have beautiful talents and I think that this show will urge them to showcase their talents in front of the world.

You participate in an increasing number of talent shows these days. How do you encourage new talents through these shows?

I believe that these kinds of talent shows open the door to explore the great hidden talents in our communities, and they focus on encouraging talents more than the competition itself. These shows allow me to share my experiences with the young ones who, with a lot of hard work, will become bright stars in the future.
