LONDON: Ten months after quitting One Direction, Zayn Malik has released his first solo single.

As the title suggests, Pillowtalk is a sensual track.

“We’ll stay in bed all day,” purrs the 23-year-old over a drowsy R&B groove. Maybe he has the flu. The video stars Malik’s current girlfriend, supermodel Gigi Hadid. Fans can watch it on YouTube.

Ahead of the single’s premiere, Zayn discussed his departure from One Direction.

Zayn also revealed the title of his debut album, Mind Of Mine, which is due out in March.

He mentioned three more tracks by name — Befour, Wrong and She, which he described as a “party tune” about “just having a good time.”

Separately, One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson welcomed his first child last week, and revealed him to the world recently on Instagram and Twitter, captioning the photo, “Meet my little lad, Freddie.”

He followed up with a tweet referring to his son, with Briana Jungwirth, as “Freddie Tommo” — “Tommo” being Tomlinson’s nickname — and then thanked his fans for their messages of support.

It was previously reported by The Sun that the child was named Sydney Rain, and as fans waited for official confirmation, one industrious photoshopper created a fake people article that read that the baby had been named “Conchobar” — pronounced “Connor” — due to a bet he’d lost with One Direction bandmate Niall Horan.
