This is with reference to the article “Wrongfully accused” (March 2) by Gwynne Dyer. I appreciate the writer for adopting a balanced approach vis-à-vis the murder of Russian opposition leader. His article makes perfect sense. The murder would in no way of any benefit to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Despite all the economic problems, his approval ratings have jumped at home. He is no fool to get involved in such things. I don’t believe in conspiracy theories but this assassination is a clear attempt to discredit Putin and harm his international reputation. In the wake of such crimes, investigators consider one important factor i.e. who would benefit the most with the murder?

One should adopt a similar approach while analyzing this case.
