I read with interest the article “Cost of ignoring the basics of PR” (Feb. 9) by Saad Al-Dosari. I fully agree with the views expressed by the writer. It is very true that in our part of the world such concepts are usually ignored. Organizations, both in the public and private sectors, tend to ignore the importance of these practices. The problem is that when the customer or consumer is not at the heart of all policies of an organization, such incidents should not surprise anybody.
Organizations should seek to make customers/consumers feel at home through their effective services and prompt responses in the wake of any problem.
