Playing in the All-England Badminton Championship is indeed a matter of prestige. When an amazing player like Chong Wei of Malaysia is not playing for having failed in doping test, it will certainly make the game dull.

In the past, great players like Rudy Hartono, Frank Devlin, Lieum Swie King, Morten Frost, Prakash Padukone have dazzled the badminton arena.

Had Wei participated, matches would have been much more interesting. The game of badminton requires extreme fitness and stamina and the player who has paramount fitness and stamina can win the game with an ease.

Seen in this perspective, Lin Dan has a good chance to win the championship, because he has good height, powerful strokes and excellent fitness.
