This is with reference to Aisha Rashid’s letter “Sarabjit was a terrorist.” Aisha Rashid’s opinion is very biased and she needs to be reminded of several things. What about Pakistan’s sponsored terrorism? Many terrorists who are caught in India belong to Pakistan and the Pakistan government and media do not accept them as their nationals. In case of Ajmal Qasab, Pakistan refused to accept him as its national.

If the Indian government failed to protect Pakistan prisoner, Pakistan has failed to protect Indian prisoner too and this is not the first incident.

In January of this year there was an incident in which Indian prisoner was killed in Pakistan and I am sure this will continue in future. In case of Sarabjit, Aisha needs to revisit the case history and arguments put up by Sarabjit’s lawyer which clearly proves that he was innocent. — Shams Contractor,
