I read with interest the article “Perils of our digital world” (Feb. 8) by Rasheed Abou-Alsamh. It is really true that the cyberspace is becoming dangerously unsafe with the passage of time. There is a great need for introducing checks and balances to counter identity theft and cases like the one mentioned in the article. I fully agree with the writer that action should be initiated against the company, which failed to protect its consumer’s right to privacy.

Actually, with the advancement in technology safe browsing and safe use of the Internet or mobile services has become an uphill task.
