I fail to make out from the article of Harun Yahya whether he wants Turkey to join the war against Syria or not. (“Is Turkey joining Syrian war?” Aug. 8)

While he is consistent with the idea to destroy the PKK, he advises Ankara to be careful while joining US to wage war on Syria. The PKK is a terrorist organization — and which I also agree with — he maintains and that Turkey should take every means to wipe out this scourge, he advises.

In the same breath he asks the country not to fall prey to the US strategy as it will be dragged into what he called a dirty war on Syria and that “innocent people will be killed.”

“As a Muslim country ... we will have to bear the responsibility for every innocent life that is lost” in war, he says. Will wiping out the PKK not have collateral damage?
