I read with interest the article “Exploiting women in the name of jihad” (March 4) by Abdulrahman Al-Rashed. There is no harm in calling a spade a spade. We should admit that these women are being duped into believing that by moving to the war zone in Syria and elsewhere, they would be somehow serving the cause of Islam. The situation has come to such a pass that the use of terminologies no longer matters. Under normal circumstances, use of crude words like “sexual jihad” might be considered gross but in the current situation there is a great need for exposing the truth behind this un-Islamic Islamic State (IS).
