I read with interest the article “Daesh versus Al-Qaeda” (July 11) by Mshari Al-Zaydi. I agree with the views expressed by the writer. Daesh is even more vicious than its parent organization Al-Qaeda. There is one thing I would like to add i.e. had the world effectively, I repeat effectively, worked together for the elimination of Al-Qaeda, Daesh would not have come to the fore. Of course, this is not the only reason behind the creation of Daesh. The manner in which Daesh has outgrown all other terror outfits has only raised doubts in the minds of people who try their level best to think without any bias.
