I congratulate my Indian friends on the occasion of their country’s republic day. I am from Pakistan. Indians and Pakistanis live and work together in the Middle East and other parts of the world and usually don’t experience any friction while dealing with each other. Sadly, our attitudes change once we land in our respective countries. How long should we continue fighting? Our countries have fought three wars. What have we achieved from those military adventures? We are faced with same problems back home. Poverty, illiteracy, insanitation, corruption, power theft and power shortage etc. are the real enemies. We should reject the hatemongers who always want to pit Pakistanis against Indians. Indians should accept Pakistan as a reality and Pakistanis should also realize that they couldn’t change their neighbors. We should join hands to fight the real enemies mentioned above.
