This is with reference to the report “Riyadh Metro work on schedule” (April 27). I am very excited about the project. This was a much-needed project. This project will help millions of people. The relevant authorities must focus on developing such projects all across the Kingdom. Saudi Arabia perhaps is the only country in the world without a proper mass transit system.

A proper mass transit system helps the economy, the environment and the masses. The Kingdom has enough resources to complete several such projects. This will also help the country in the long run, as such projects will create hundreds of job opportunities.
