The 28-year-old Spaniard Rafael Nadal, who already holds the record for wining the most titles at a single Grand Slam tennis tournament maintained his extraordinary hold on the French Open tennis final victory over Novak Djokovic.

Beyond any doubt he is an undisputed clay court specialist. Nadal said after the match that, “playing against Novak is always a big challenge for me. I had lost to him the last four times we had played.” He was magnificent although I sat in front of the TV expecting a Novak victory. Nadal made monkey out of Murray, who has now opted for a woman coach, and pretty much did the same with Novak. We concede Nadal’s performance was phenomenal and no doubt he is the king of clay. His useful advice for all sportsmen is worth noting. He said, “As a tennis player you can win and you can lose, and you have to be ready for both. I practiced self-control as a kid. But as you get older they both — winning and losing — get easier.”
