This is with reference to the report “Muslims to form a human shield around Norway synagogue” (Feb. 20). It is so nice to read such reports about harmony and respect for other cultures and religions. Truth be told, an average person, following any religion, does not like wars and conflicts. It is our political leaders who use religion to promote their interests. It is the responsibility of all peace-loving people to say no to the politics of hatred. We should reject all such political or religious elements who wish to drive a wedge between us on the basis of race, color, religion or ethnicity. War can never resolve any issue; it may suppress the problem temporarily.
