This is with reference to the article “No place like home” (Feb. 23) by Guillermo Torres. What type of people we are? Instead of taking action to save our planet from destruction, we are looking for new planets. I am not blaming the writer. It is just that the article in question and similar research reports irritate me. We are continuously doing things to destroy our planet and don’t appear to regret our actions. Most of the developed nations have harmed the environment beyond imagination. They should take steps to do away with policies harming the planet’s ecosystem. Instead of searching for new abodes and spending billions or trillions of dollars on space mission, we should try to preserve our ecosystem.
