A federal district judge in the US has ruled the electronic spy agency’s practice an “arbitrary invasion.” The ruling came in a lawsuit brought by conservative activist Larry Clayman, a user of a Verizon mobile telephone who challenged the National Security Agency’s collection of metadata on his behalf and that of a client.

A delighted Snowden, on hearing this ruling said: “I acted on my belief that the NSA’s mass surveillance programs would not withstand a constitutional challenge, and the American public deserved a chance to see these issues determined by open court.”

We would love to have the view of the German chancellor on the court ruling.

UK’s illegal spying, monitoring and passing on data is a shameful and hypocritical act and also a breach of international laws and human rights. The UK should also be held accountable along with the US for these illegal activities.
