A good development indeed. (“King backs Turkey’s war against Daesh,” July 29)

King Salman’s condemnation of terror attacks in Turkey is based on a principled stand that the Kingdom has taken against all forms of terrorism, regardless of which country is target of the scourge.

Turkey’s attack on Daesh and the outlawed Kurdish party PKK, which has been designated a terrorist organization recently, has been welcomed by every country including the US. Let us not relent unless the menace is wiped out completely, and that will be the real victory.

I welcome the Kingdom’s uncompromising stand on all such issues.
