Pin Slasher dominates FEDBG Haj tourney

JEDDAH: Excellent teamwork paid off for the Pin Slasher team of Roger Daquioag, Tito Cruz, Jun Pingan, Carling Constantino and May Lourdes to dominate the Filipino Expatriate Damayan Bowling Group 2012 Haj Mini All-events tournament, winning the team, men’s trio and mix trio events at the Bowling City here.
Pin Slasher was actually 2 pins behind All Star and in front of AD Linkage and Pin Rockers after five games on running totals of 4879, 4877, 4793 and 4584 though its gas team high game of 1043 and 1036.
But with another high game of 1039, Pin Slasher seized the top position with 5916 relegating All Star to second spot at 5740, followed by AD Linkage 5730 and Pin Rockers 5627. At this stage, Pin Slasher protected it lead with 940, 963 and 922 to finally win the team event on team output of 8741.
Pingan top-scored for Pin Slasher at 1876 handicap series followed by Roger Daquioag with 1826 scratch series while Cruz, Constantino and Lourdes contributed 1748, 1646 and 1645 respectively.
At the final stint AD Linkage secured second place with 8717 and Pin Rockers made it to third spot with 8557. Dariel Loquias topped the board for AD Linkage with 1874, followed by Med Ramos 1828 with Archie Santos, Aileen Miralbuna and Nurissa Ramos respectively adding 1721, 1707 and 1587. Pin Rockers had Richard Antonio leading the way on 1863 with Romy Bunagan on 1804. Rudy Valenzuel, Fred Cuenca and Minda Guevara added 1749, 1701 and 440 in that order.
In men’s trio event, Pin Slasher occupied the top position as early as the fifth game and never looked back till Roger Daquioag, Tito Cruz and Jun Pingan submitted the winning total of 5450 including a high game of 657. With personal high game scratch of 247, Pingan again top-scored with 1876, Daquioag had 1826 and Cruz shared 748. Again ranking second and third were AD Linkage and Pin Rockers on 5423 and 5368. Dariel Loquias shot high game of 232 for Linkage and Richard Antonio 235 for Rockers.
The mix trio of Daquioag, Constantino and Lourdes completed Pin Slasher’s domination of the tournament on 5117 three-bowler aggregate.
All Star made it to second spot on 5081 and Ekis clinched third position on 5045. Rolly Vistal led All Star with 1885 with Melvin Lising 1676 and Ester Santoc 1520. Ernie Geslani led Ekis with 1700, Tommy de Castro added 1689 and Sally Sanosa 1656. BCT Pros, Remar, Fire Fox, Aryana and Jemar were the other teams that participated in this L’Occitane supported event.
