PORSCHE is synonymous the world over with power, outstanding driving performance, safety and style. Providing an opportunity to experience the passion and excitement of the brand, Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE, invited regional media to participate in the company’s most successful driving program — the Porsche World Roadshow. A range of 20 vehicles, including the Boxster, 911 and the brand’s most sold model, the Porsche Cayenne, were specially brought to the Dubai Autodrome from Germany for this purpose.
Under the guidance of top professional instructors, all certified by Porsche, participants drove the brand’s entire vehicle range in challenging exercises that demonstrated the cars’ race-bred ability. They experienced the thrills and excitement of driving a Porsche, by learning how to manoeuvre different models through challenging exercises, including off-road, breaking, handling and slalom.
The Porsche World Roadshow Dubai is an international driving event designed to give Porsche aficionados and potential customers a rare opportunity to drive the Porsche model range. Attendees are able to learn more about what sets Porsche models apart from the competition and how to handle high performance vehicles under challenging conditions.
George Wills, MD, Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE, said: “There is no better way to experience the passion, performance and excitement of the Porsche brand than to do so from behind the wheel. Driving a Porsche on a professional circuit, testing its capabilities and learning about its superior engineering from the experts, is a special thrill that one will never forget.
“This is exactly what the Porsche World Roadshow aims to do, but in a controlled, safe environment with international experts on-hand to provide guidance and motoring mentorship. We believe it is vital that drivers are able to harness the power of these high performance models under all circumstances,” he added.
As the national home for motorsports with a 5.39 km circuit, designed with straights and bends to suit even the most skilled drivers, the Dubai Autodrome was the ideal location to host the Porsche World Roadshow to master complex driving techniques under the leadership of highly-skilled experts.
