There were a number of casualties when a bus carrying girls overturned on a road near Al-Ofa village in the Al-Mikhawa governorate on Tuesday.

Red Crescent spokesman Imad Mansi Al-Zahrani said six rescue teams were dispatched to the scene and help was sought from the Ministry of Health because of the large number of casualties.

Al-Zahrani said when the first rescue team arrived at the location, they only found four girls, one of whom was dead. Two were transported to the hospital by the Red Crescent ambulances, and one was taken by the Health Ministry.

Al-Zahrani said 25 girls were injured in the accident in addition to the bus driver.
