MAKKAH: The executive list of the child protection system has now defined 14 kinds of abuse.

These include keeping a child without a family document, not administering compulsory vaccinations, disrupting their education, exposing them to an environment that poses risks to his wellbeing, maltreatment, sexual harassment, exposing them to sexual exploitation, use them financially or in crimes or begging, using demeaning words that lead to his or her humiliation, allow them to watch porn or crime scenes, racial, social or economic discrimination, lack of care in their upbringing, allow them to drive at an early age or anything else that threatens his or her physical or psychological health.

The list obliged relevant bodies which witness a child begging, or being used by other means to conduct illegal work, to take the necessary procedures to protect the child. If the child is non-Saudi and has no family, coordination should be undertaken with their home country to deport him back there. Help and support will be given to the child until he leaves Saudi territory.

If the child rebels against his or her parents or guardians, social and psychological research should be conducted by the relevant body from the Ministry of Social Affairs. The child should be heard out and his or her parents or guardians should be called to discuss the case and find out reasons behind the child's state.

The list also stated that the child should be given priority in relief work, for example during wars or natural disasters.
