JEDDAH: Two policemen lost their lives when their chase of an offender turned deadly on Monday night in Afif, near Riyadh.

It has emerged that their car crashed into a lamppost during their pursuit of the suspect who refused to comply with their orders to stop.

Security and emergency personnel rushed to the site of the accident. The injured officers were quickly transferred to the Afif General Hospital, but both of them succumbed to their injuries.
