JEDDAH: The Specialized Criminal Court in Riyadh on Wednesday issued a verdict against two Saudi women found guilty of belonging to Al-Qaeda, giving a total of a 24-year prison term.
The women, part of a cell made up of 12 terrorists, were also found guilty of attempting to promoting Al-Qaeda through social media, inciting to demonstrations in Buraidah in Al-Qassim, and insulting the Kingdom, the government, security personnel and religious scholars from Saudi Arabia.
According to reports, Saudi security authorities arrested the women as they were trying to leave for Yemen together with some children and three Yemeni smugglers.

They were released the first time due to the intercession of several Al-Qassim notables with the minister of interior, asking him to release them and promising that they would not commit similar acts again.
