The Ministry of Social Affairs has signed a cooperative insurance agreement with Bupa Arabia to provide medical insurance for 3,000 orphans of different ages.

The insurance agreement covers males till the age of 25 and females till they get married.

Saeed Al-Ghamdi, director general of the Ministry of Social Affairs in the Eastern Province, asserted that the ministry views this agreement as a positive step toward providing better living conditions to a deserving group of Saudi citizens.

“The agreement will help them overcome the difficulties they face in their lives. They will also be included in social, educational and health care at the highest standards and quality. The contract helps to facilitate the orphans’ lives and gives them hope for a better life and future,” he added.

The official stressed that the medical insurance is a reminder that orphans are an important part of the Saudi society and should be provided with the utmost care.

Al-Ghamdi expressed his appreciation to Bupa Corporate for providing free medical insurance to the orphans and for their sense of social responsibility toward the Saudi society.

The director general as well as the director of the Women’s Social Supervision office in the Eastern Province and a number of other officials attended the signing ceremony.
