JEDDAH: Four people have been arrested in connection with the theft of $2 million from a foreign exchange company in Riyadh recently.
Sources quoted by a local publication said the company has praised the police for tracking down and arresting the suspects. The heist had taken place at the company’s branch in Thalem neighborhood.
Col. Fawaz bin Jameel Al-Maiman, media spokesman of the Riyadh police department, said that details of the crime would be announced later after investigations are completed.
He said the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman was committed to rooting out crime and corruption. The police would not spare any effort to maintain the safety and security of citizens and residents, and protect their property, he said.
