Madinah police on Monday arrested four men for allegedly assaulting and seriously injuring an Arab expatriate last month at his office.

The alleged victim spent seven days in hospital. Khalidiya police investigated the case.

An investigation team, which initially tracked down one of the suspects, learned that the alleged assault was related to a previous dispute between the two parties, said Lt. Col. Sami Al-Johani, acting spokesman of Madinah police.

Police had tracked down the men by studying a video of the alleged assault posted on social networking sites. It purportedly shows four people assaulting the man. He tried to escape but they blocked his way out. One of the attackers allegedly also assaulted the man’s young son who was in the office after tying his hands.
