JEDDAH: Four people were killed and three critically injured in a collision involving three trucks and a car in Asir region on Wednesday, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority said.
Mohammed Al-Shehri, SRCA spokesman in Asir, told Arabic news site Al-Riyadh.com that the accident happened at 11:09 a.m. on the road to Khamis Al-Bahar.
The collision resulted in a fire that engulfed the vehicles, Al-Shehri said.
Emergency teams managed to extricate three of the victims still alive and rushed them to the nearest hospital in Mahayel governorate in Asir.
