RIYADH: More than 400 Young Saudi women found employment in 27 sectors after training with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), a senior official from the organization said here on Sunday.

Sheikha Al-Thunayan, TVTC deputy governor of technical training for women, said the training programs were conducted in cooperation with various private sector organizations to help women find jobs.

She said these programs were carried out in accordance with the directives of the Labor Ministry, which was keen on providing more employment opportunities in various establishments in the private sector. The training is imparted based on market needs, she said.

The program is being implemented with the assistance of the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) and the respective chambers of commerce and industry throughout the Kingdom.

Meanwhile, the Labor Ministry announced that it would conduct interviews in Dammam, Al-Ahsa, Asir and Baha on Monday for applicants who wish to join the telecommunications sector. Similar interviews will be held in Tabuk and Madinah on Tuesday and in Najran on Wednesday.

The program will be conducted by the ministry in cooperation with HRDF, TVTC and the respective chambers of commerce and industry. Selected candidates will be given theoretical and practical training in two phases.
