JEDDAH: The Nafa Charitable Society in Jeddah launched an Eid Al-Fitr project under the slogan “Clothes and Eid gifts” where they succeeded in putting a smile on the faces of more than 450 orphans and 220 poor families.

Sayed bin Ibrahim Al-Zahrani, the director general of the society, said that they launched this project by allocating SR200,000 for orphans and needy families with the aim of reducing the burden on needy families and strengthening the relationship between the charity and the orphans.

Al-Zahrani confirmed that this project embodies the solidarity among members of Saudi society and the orphans. He also said that the charity modified a number of programs for orphans and needy families, including Ramadan baskets, the Zakat Al-Fitr project and monthly food baskets where each orphan gets SR300 cash per month.

He further said that they implemented the project to bring smiles to the faces of orphans and poor children like other children on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.
