The Ministry of Health has shut down several clinics and pharmacies for committing various violations over the past two months, an official said. “The ministry closed down 55 health facilities, including 11 pharmacies, in the private sector for violations of various regulations between the months of September and November,” Ali Al-Zawawi, the ministry’s assistant undersecretary for the private sector, said in a statement on Friday.

The violations were detected by ministerial committees, which conduct regular inspection rounds of health facilities across the Kingdom.
