MAKKAH: 700 Palestinian pilgrims have pledged to donate blood to the injured stampede victims, Abdullah Medlej, secretary general of the program for hosting the guests of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Haj, said.

Medlej made the announcement during his recent visit to the guests’ residence in Mina.

He highlighted the hospitality and attention offered to the Palestinian pilgrims by Saleh Al-Asheikh, minister of Islamic affairs, endowments, call and guidance.

Medlej noted that there were no casualties or injuries among the guest Palestinian pilgrims following the stampede. He thanked the cooperation of security agencies and program committees for contributing to the comfort and convenience offered to the Palestinian pilgrims.

Medlej said the guests of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques program is now preparing to move the Palestinian pilgrims to Madinah to visit the Prophet Mosque for three days, before they are scheduled to return home.
