The National Information Center in a recent report said that the Web portal of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) received 700 million visitors during 2013.

The report revealed that the MOI gateway registered 3.5 million visitors and conducted 300 million operations confirming that 3 million of those registered had fully activated their accounts.

The report also indicated that the portal registered 9 million account operations executed by account owners.

Statistics showed the presence of 100 services through the ministry’s portal, and 51 interactive services including passports, traffic and other entities.

The electronic employment icon registered 800,000 applications in various sectors of the ministry, and the number of applications to amend occupations and civil status with the passports department reached 156,000.

Government vehicles registered the highest number of responses through registering and updating the data of the ministry’s drivers.

The ministry’s portal defines conditions for canceling and terminating services of the beneficiary’s account, clarifying that in case of cancellation it will still display the account holder’s data.

The ministry stressed that the services beneficiaries are entitled to, can be terminated under certain circumstances such as in case of complete or partial violation of the services conditions; or in case of judicial orders or applications presented by other government agencies; or if the beneficiary has asked for the cancelation of his account; or if he has failed to update information related to the service.

Following cancelation of a service, the beneficiary will be unable to access the service or its appendices; his password and all his files will be deleted. He will also be prevented from accessing the service in future.
