Police forces working under the Special Forces for Road Safety and the Department of Criminal Investigation in Madinah apprehended approximately 720 violators in the two days following the end of the amnesty period. The arrests were made during inspection rounds to identify violators of work and residency regulations.

Inspections took place in a number of neighborhoods and villages in Madinah, including the central market.

The inspection campaign began Monday at dawn under the direct supervision of the Director of the Madinah Police, Maj. Gen. Saud Bin Awad Al-Ahmadi, who stressed the importance of cooperation between citizens and security forces.

He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to security sectors participating in the campaign for their successful efforts. The role of the campaign includes arresting violators with no illegal residency status and referring them to authorities, explained Col. Fahd Al Ghanam, the media spokesman of Madinah Police.
