The Ministry of Health (MoH) launched Wednesday its scholarship program for the current year for international study. The program offers 750 scholarships for Saudi staff of the MoH to obtain bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from approved universities abroad in a wide range of specialties.

The specialties are: medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacology, respiratory therapy, X-ray, emergency and intensive care, laboratory and blood banks, clinical nutrition, nuclear therapy, physics, physical rehabilitation, functional therapy, artificial organ procedures, health management, information technology and health education.

Health Ministry spokesman Khalid Marghlani told Arab News that around 50 percent of the scholarships would be allocated to physicians, while the remaining positions will be reserved for health care workers.
