80 percent of the Pakistani pilgrims have been housed in hotels located in the central area of Madinah, which is in close proximity to the Prophet’s Mosque, while 20 percent were accommodated on the periphery of the area, said Muhammed Saif Anwar, official at the Pakistani Haj Mission.

He said that 143,000 Pakistani pilgrims have arrived in the Kingdom for the annual Haj and that others will continue to arrive until the 25th of the Islamic month of Dul Qaada.

“Four companies have been contracted to provide full services to Pakistani pilgrims, including SR18 daily for meals and free medical services,” he said.

“The Pakistan House 2, which is a temporary clinic equipped with 15 beds, receives patients on a daily basis and emergencies are transferred to government health centers such as the Ansar and King Fahd Hospital,” he said, adding that the center receives 700 pilgrims daily.

Anwar added that the mission has hired 100 seasonal employees during the Haj season to guide the Pakistani pilgrims. The mission has also provided a 24-hour toll free phone (800 1166622) to receive the complaints of the pilgrims.
