The Date and Palm Festival, organized by the Royal Commission for Jubail (RCJ) at the Al-Fanateer waterfront in Jubail Industrial City, has received more than 90,000 visitors since its launch last Thursday.

In addition, on Sunday the event received more than 115 visitors from the Malaysian community in the Jubail Industrial City, in addition to a large number of school students.

The festival includes various activities, such as the craft oasis with the participation of a number of craftsmen, in addition to the taste corner. There is also an exhibition to provide all information related to palms and dates, and their various growth stages.

Moreover, there are numerous varieties of dates provided in the Dates Oasis, which includes many traditional family settings.

The RCJ’s hospital in Jubail participated in the festival within its health services program by conducting more than 113 vital sign and diabetes tests.

The program has also provided more than 63 glucometers for people with diabetes, and wheelchairs for people with special needs and the elderly. In addition, there is a dietician at the festival to offer food tips for visitors and distribute educational and awareness leaflets about the importance of hand sanitation.

The National Center for Dates and Palms works on the development of the dates sector by focusing on production efficiency, cost reduction, product quality, active marketing programs inside and outside the Kingdom, in addition to the development of its employees, encouraging creativity and innovation.

The RCJ’s organization of this event comes among its corporate social responsibilities, thus leading the organization to activate and promote activities in line with the needs of Jubail residents.
