Inspection teams at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry have seized 50,000 fake perfume packs stored in two apartments in the Batha District, a commercial popular center in downtown Riyadh, local media said.

Inspectors reportedly spotted a group of illegal foreign workers as they stored perfume packs that they intended to sell as originals, the media said.

The expats involved were recalled for further investigation.

Inspectors seized more than 600 adulterated items, which were readily arranged to sell at the prices of their original brand names at nearby shops. Fake bottles were being sold with the Chanel, Givenchy, Polgari, Polo, Locust and Dunhill logos, reported a local daily.
