The American Heart Association (AHA), a US-based nonprofit and one of the world’s largest volunteer health organizations, has recognized seven centers in the Kingdom for excellence in training health care providers.

“The mission of the AHA is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and strokes, and we are committed to the expansion of science-based lifesaving training solutions in Saudi Arabia,” said Michael Hulley, director of AHA’s international program, at an event in Riyadh.

“It’s very exciting that through collaboration with our colleagues in the Kingdom we are bringing more lifesaving skills to the region,” Hulley said. As per this program, 43 international training centers were recognized this year, out of 600 worldwide. Eighteen of those centers are in the Middle East and North Africa, out of which seven are in the Kingdom.

These facilities were recognized and awarded for their significant training impact while adhering to quality assurance and instructional best practices.
