BEIRUT: The international conference on Al-Quds has praised the pioneering role of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of King Salman in combating terrorism, defending the rights of the Palestinian people and supporting their cause in international summits and conferences.

Conference President Mohammed Subra said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that Saudi support to the Palestinians is not only financial but also political.

He said the US-Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh was a milestone amid efforts by Iran and its armed militias to spread chaos and sectarian conflict.

The summit is an important step toward unifying Arab and international efforts against terrorism, which is threatening the region and the world, he added.

“The world is fully aware that Iran has given full support to terrorist organizations... in order to sabotage the image of Islam,” Subra said.
