The Consulate General of India in Jeddah will organize an all-India “mushaira,” or poetic evening, on Aug. 21 at the auditorium of the International Indian School in Jeddah (IISJ) boys’ section.

“Indian expatriates who are interested in attending the program can e-mail their requests for invitation cards with their names, iqama numbers and mobile phone numbers to [email protected],” said Irshad Ahmad, consul for press, information and culture.

Applications should reach the consulate by 5 p.m. Aug. 16, he said, adding that invitation cards would be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.

“A maximum of two persons per application will be allowed in,” he said.

The final list of invitees will be posted on www.cgijeddah.com at 5 p.m. on Aug. 18.

Distribution of invitation cards will take place in IISJ on Aug. 19 and 20 from 7 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. Children below the age of 12 will not be able to attend.
