RIYADH: The second phase of the “Allah Yatek Khairha” (may Allah Almighty grant you wellness!) initiative, which aims to foster awareness and help differently abled people, was launched under the patronage of Prince Sultan bin Salman, president of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTNH) and chairman of the board of directors for Disabled Children’s Association (DCA).
The initiative that took off in Riyadh ahead of Ramadan includes a drive to communicate the message to the people through innovative means.
The second phase seeks to implement an educational program in the framework of a valid agreement between the DCA and the SCTNH. The deal includes cooperation with hotels and fuel station firms, travel agencies and motels on the highways to spread the message.
Osman Al-Faris, superintendent general of the initiative, earlier said, “It aims to inform managers of gas stations, hotels and motels about the idea and the mechanisms for its implementation, as well as the role of potential partners for the dissemination of the message among the largest possible audience.”
SCTNH will highlight the initiative at tourism accommodation facilities as also in tour operators’ programs, travel and tourism agencies, through tourist guides, booking offices, tourism events, tourist places and via social media, besides providing it through publications such as brochures and leaflets in collaboration with their partners.
Commenting on achievements during the first phase, Al-Faris said, “the initiative so far has made several achievements including the production and broadcasting of a TV program in collaboration with the radio-television authority. The program has enjoyed unprecedented success culminating in achieving a gold medal from the latest Arabian Gulf Radio and Television Festival.”
